Scouts and Guides Investiture Ceremony

The investiture ceremony is the program into which children are initiated into the Scouts and Guides movement. The Scouts and Guides program at Atreya Vidyaniketan supports the National Scouts and Guides Movement in India through its contribution.  The children actively engage themselves into activities that support their personal development and empowers them to make a positive contribution to the society.

Investiture Ceremony is a grand event. The unit leaders of Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls and older children welcome new children and introduce them movement through the oath and laws of Scouts and Guides. The children are invested with badges by the Unit leaders and the scarfs given by the guest and principal. This ceremony brings in a feeling of oneness and service in children.

Investiture Ceremony of School Council

Investiture is an important occasion where the school entrusts its upcoming cabinet leaders with certain roles and responsibilities.  At Atreya Vidyaniketan the captains are selected through many criteria. This ceremony is not just about providing titles, but about conferring responsibility to the students, to take charge of the school with their leadership qualities to guide, set an example and be role models. We investiture the selected captains with badges and sashes.  All the captains take oath to initiate work by communicating the code of conduct of the school. They also play an incentive role and motivate their juniors providing guidance to perform their work effectively and efficiently.

Valedictory

We follow the culture of bidding a final farewell for Grade 10 graduating students to begin the next phase of their lives.

Valedictory event for Grade 10 students is organized at the school. Students wear traditional attire and perform a Saraswati pooja and chant Saraswati Shatha Namawali to seek the blessings of goddess Saraswati.  Grade 10 children lights diya and take the oath and promise to uphold the values taught at school and protect honour of our country by being able citizen of the nation and the world.  They are honoured with a memento as symbol of   remembrance. The students express their gratitude towards their beloved teachers.  It is a happy and emotional moment for children and teachers.
